Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering any products or services from DeFib UK. By placing an order with us, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms below. These outline our mutual legal rights and responsibilities, and contain important information regarding your purchases and our services.

1. Who We Are
DeFib UK is an independent provider of defibrillator equipment, training, and accessories. We operate as a separate business and are not affiliated with Imperative Training Ltd or defibshop.co.uk. All correspondence should be directed to the Hadleigh address listed above.
2. Definitions
Here are some of the key terms we refer to throughout these conditions:
- “We”, “Us”, “Our” – refers to DeFib UK
- “You”, “Your” – refers to you, our customer
- “Consumer” – an individual purchasing for personal use, not business
- “Business Customer” – an individual or organisation purchasing on behalf of a business
- “Product(s)” – any equipment, goods or materials supplied by us
- “Service(s)” – training or other services delivered by us or our partners
- “Manufacturer” – the original producer of the product
- “Dispatch Confirmation” – the email we send confirming your order has been accepted
3. Your Legal Rights
If you're a consumer, you’re protected under UK law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This includes:
- A right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods
- The right to a full refund for faulty items within 30 days
- Remedies for defective products within the warranty of the product depending on the nature of the fault

4. Placing an Order
By placing an order with us, you confirm that you’re over 18 and legally capable of entering into a contract. Orders are accepted once you receive our official Dispatch Confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse orders at our discretion.
5. Delivery
We aim to dispatch items promptly, but please note that delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to courier issues or stock shortages—we’ll always keep you informed.
- Deliveries are Mainland England, Scotland or Wales only unless otherwise agreed
- Standard delivery charges apply; additional charges may apply for redeliveries or deliveries outside Mainland England, Scotland or Wales.
- You’ll receive a tracking number upon dispatch
6. Returns and Refunds
You can return most items within 14 days provided they’re unused and in saleable condition.
- Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or misdelivered
- A restocking or admin fee may apply where relevant
- Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method only
- Handling fee of £15 may be applied on all refunds

7. Faulty or Damaged Items
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives.
- Report damage within 2 working days
- Report missing items or incorrect deliveries within 2 working days
- Retain all packaging for inspection
- If a product is found to be faulty within 30 days, we will offer a refund or replacement
For faults outside this period, we may refer you to the manufacturer under the terms of their warranty.
8. Cancellation Policy
As a consumer, you have 14 days from receiving your goods to cancel the contract. You must return the goods within 28 days of cancelling. Cancellations must be made in writing—email is fine.
If you’re cancelling a training course:
- Over 4 weeks’ notice – no charge
- 2–4 weeks’ notice – 50% fee applies
- Less than 2 weeks’ notice – full course fee applies
9. Warranty
Most products we supply are covered by a 12-month manufacturer warranty (or longer, if applicable). This is in addition to your consumer rights.
10. Payments
Prices are listed in GBP and include VAT unless otherwise stated.
- Payment is due in full at the time of order, or before delivery
- We accept credit/debit cards and bank transfers
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices
11. Training Services
Training is delivered by qualified trainers in line with UK Resuscitation Council guidelines. It’s your responsibility to ensure that you and your team are adequately trained in the use of any defibrillators or equipment.
We recommend regular refresher training to maintain confidence and competence.
12. Our Liability
We are not liable for:
- Any losses arising from use of our products beyond the manufacturer's specification
- Any consequences of actual or attempted resuscitation
- Any damages resulting from lack of training or improper use
This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 or for claims involving death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13. Force Majeure
We won’t be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. strikes, pandemics, extreme weather).

15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the English courts.
