Course Content

- Understanding your legal obligations
- Introduction to Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)
- Alternative evacuation techniques
- What is an evacuation chair and when is it used?
- Safe step-by-step operation of an evacuation chair
- Practical, supervised use on a staircase
- Training plans to maintain Evac-Chair competence
Pre-Course Requirements
To participate safely and gain the most from the training, attendees must:
- Be physically capable of using an evacuation chair
- Have access to an Evac-Chair during in-house sessions
- Ensure a suitable staircase is available for hands-on practice
Course Duration & Mode of Delivery
- Morning Session: 09:30 – 12:45
- Afternoon Session: 13:30 – 16:45
3 hours (either morning or afternoon):
Face-to-face
- Maximum of 6 learners per trainer
Requalification
Annual refresher training is strongly recommended to ensure your team retains confidence and stays up to date with best practices.
